Let me say first and foremost... I feel you.
I've never spoken about the loneliness that can come from being on your purpose. Honestly, chasing greatness can be downright, isolating sometimes. Why is actualizing your purpose such a lonely endeavor you ask? Because it's fucking HARD and everybody around you loves drifting around in life. In this world today, people FEAR the difficult and WORSHIP instant gratification. I don’t know if you remember this but Superman, was alone. He was an alien, just like men on their purpose, are aliens. If he decided to take a day off because he didn't feel like it, who would pick up his slack? If he chose to open up to Lois Lane about his emotions, what the hell could she do to help him? Your purpose and everything that comes with it is YOUR burden and it is YOUR cross ALONE to carry. While you grind, while you work, you will see friends and family sitting back, kicking back, living their best fucking life and will have the audacity to look at you crazy!
During the holidays, the feeling of loneliness can be amplified. But let me say this...the holidays are temporary, but greatness is forever. Our goal in this life is not to kick back, it’s not to sleep in, it’s not to fuck hundreds of women. Our goal is not to be happy; happiness is a marketing scheme designed for women. Our goal, is to give this life everything we got, whether we feel like it or not. Our goal, is to make our future selves proud so they can look back and salute us. Our goal, is to live a life so full that when death comes knocking at our door, we will not fear it. When death comes for us, we will be able to look it dead in the eye and say...I fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). For it is only those who have wasted their lives that are afraid to die.
This life of purpose is arduous, hell, I’m even struggling with my emotions right now. But so what! If u are feeling down at this moment, I want you to read my “Bat Signal” article. It will help you get through any funk you may be in (I had to read it too). I want you to know that everything will work out in the end. Just continue to fight, continue to be great, continue to improve, continue to grow, continue to conquer, continue to believe, and with all of your doubts and uncertainty, continue to MARCH FORTH.
