“You’ve got me? Who’s got you?”
Lois Lane… asking Superman stupid ass questions
Let’s Go 2 Work.
In the scene in which I’m quoting, Superman is attempting to save Lois Lane from falling to her death while also stopping a damaged helicopter from crashing into the civilians underneath them. This was Clark Kent’s first go at being “Superman.” Although he was nervous, afraid, and unsure, he had no choice but to be who he was called to be and shut the fuck up about it.
I know you want to share your feelings with your woman because you believe she is your partner. I know you want to tell her each and every insecurity you’ve ever had. In a perfect world that would be okay, but in this world, you absolutely CANNOT.
Why?
Because what goes on in the mind of men is MEN’S BUSINESS.
Imagine this…
God comes to you one day and says, “Fam, can I tell you something on some real shit?”
If you were smart, you would say no, but just like women you’re nosy and you are going to say, “Why yes lord, you can tell me anything.”
God proceeds and states, “Yeah, umm, I don’t know if I can pull off another spring. Like uh, I can put something on it, but I ain’t got it forreal.” “Huh?” says you. “Are you saying that you don’t know if you can make the spring season happen? But you God though, you get it done every year, like, literally since forever!” you exclaim. God continues, “Yeah, but I just don’t know if I can do it THIS year. Truth be told, I barely got it done last time. On top of that, I don’t really know how many more times I can get this sun to rise… much less pull off some damn spring. So yeah, yall might have to make it with some cold and some night for a lil bit till I figure somethin’ out.”
When the good Lord lays this heavy ass debacle on you, three things are going to happen. One, you gon be losing sleep wondering how the hell God fumbled the ball so bad. Two, you will never see God the same. Three… you gon be scared…as fuck.
God doesn’t tell us his difficulties because he knows good and well we cannot handle God level problems. Regardless of how we may feel as men, we can’t burden our women with our issues because whatever is going on in our minds is 100% men’s business.
Accept your responsibility as a man and adhere to the hierarchy…children bring their problems to their mother, women bring their problems to their man, and men bring their problems to God…
because that’s who’s got you.
