37 years old he wanted to die,
Blow his brains then the pain would all subside,
If he died, who would care, nobody would cry,
Inner demons were deceiving and feeding him lies,
Like… you could never, how could you ever, keep a woman, when every woman, left you for better,
Stormy weather seem 4ever, nothing but rain,
Whole life being nice brought twice the pain,
It’s true, nice guys finish last, I guess,
Also true, he who laugh last, laugh the best,
With the gun to his head, something said, put it down,
The voice got louder and told him to look around,
What life do you see? One of loss and defeat? Don’t focus on what it is, focus on what it could be!
You are, better than this and it’s time to shine on em’,
You are, greater than this…his life was lying on em’,
The voice said: Grind, and you’ll be fine,
he replied: I swear I’ve tried, tell me… what’s gon’ be so different this time?
The voice said alot, but the key thing he got,
Is nothing can stop,
A made-up mind,
Stay on Purpose… Protect, Provide,
Give 100%, in fact, a hundred and five,
So when you die,
There’s nothing left inside.
