What's da deal!
I hope all is well with you and that you are reaping the benefits of your hard work. I decided to give Factual a quick break because I wanted to share with you a thought of mines. So, with that said, LET'S GET TO WORK! (Word to Walt Factual!)
Throughout all these articles that Factual has gifted you, I've noticed one common theme: there is work you have to do. Above this work, or what this work is rooted in, is belief. The belief that it will help, the belief that it will change, the belief that these articles will make you the self made man you were born to be.
You have to believe!
Can I tell you a funny thing about belief? It's not a huge power on its own. Don't get me wrong, believing in something or someone is a powerful thing. That power can really take you places, but it has its limits. There is, however, something you can do to unlock the limitless power of belief. Would you like to know what it is?
WORK!
That's right, I said work. Seems simple right? Let me explain why it is not and how the duo of work and belief can really open up doors for you.
First, let me drop one of my favorite Bible verses here. "Faith without works is dead." ( James 2:17) This verse is one of the few that has stuck with me. Why? Because it is a call to action. It tells me that just believing is not enough. I must do the work to achieve the goal I believe in. For example, I believed in starting this podcast with these fellas. I believed that it would help a many of men. But what I wasn't prepared for was all the work that came with starting it. The countless hours of getting the plan together, the research needed to get the right equipment. So on and so on and so on. At one point, early on, I was like "Shit, does it really take all of this?" The answer is yes! Because I believed wholeheartedly in what Factual, 4C and I were doing, I knew that I couldn't just believe and that be it. As much as I dreaded some of the work, I was always recharged by the belief and that belief fueled the work ethic.
Nothing comes off of belief alone. You MUST put in the work to achieve the ultimate goal. Do you believe that you can lose that weight? Good, now hit that gym and go get it! Do you believe you can be a great manager on the job? Good, now go to your job and show up and show out everyday! Do you believe that you will make a great chef with your own restaurant one day? Good, now get in the kitchen and whip them meals up! If you have a vision of what you are meant to do, go for it! Don't just stand there with a hope and a prayer. Get active, make a plan, map it out and start executing.
I truly believe that if you put action to your belief, you can become unstoppable. Just remember, if you don't do, it won't move. If you consider yourself a leader, you MUST show the work. How do you expect followers if you don't show and prove. Most, if not all, will follow when they see that not only do you believe, but you are also willing to do what is necessary to achieve a goal. This rings true especially with women. Women are attracted to ambitious men. Men who have goals that they believe in and put work in to achieve said goal. So, believing is great, but do the work that is required.
Belief + Work = Success
