I was gonna talk about vagina in this article, but, as always… pussy can wait.
Let’s get 2 work.
This Sunday is Easter and many parents will be conducting an Easter Egg Hunt in which plastic eggs filled with treats are hidden in various places for children to find.
It recently occurred to me that on this journey called “life”, our father, who art in heaven, provides and hides easter eggs that helps us on our way. Sometimes these easter eggs come in the form of random people, sometimes God places them in things, and sometimes he puts easter eggs in unexpected places. The word hunt means to SEARCH determinedly for someone or something. In an Easter Egg Hunt, you cannot just pray, beg, and wish for the eggs. If you don’t make an actual effort to search for them, you will never see the eggs much less find them. To get started you don’t have to have a mapped-out plan and you don’t really have to have any direction; all you have to do is… HUNT. And what exactly are we all hunting for? Peace, joy, and fulfilment. To be successful in finding eggs all you must do is have FAITH. Faith that they’re out there, faith that God wants you to find them, and faith that the hunt is worth it.
So, with that said, I couldn’t write about easter eggs and not have the article contain an easter egg itself.
Let’s cook.
Everything comes down to voluntary and involuntary “wants.”
EVERY “want” in life has a price which will either cost you pain now or pain later.
You can voluntarily “want” to be in shape, or you can involuntarily “want” to be obese. The price of wanting to be in shape will cost you pain now. Pain of being disciplined, pain of lifting heavy shit, and pain of saying no to unhealthy habits. The price of wanting to be obese (involuntarily) will cost you pain later. Pain of having a shorter life, pain of being in and out of the hospital, and pain of hard living. You can voluntarily want to be a man of mission, vision, and purpose, or you can involuntarily want to be a male of no value who is always looking for the easy route. The price of one will cost you pain now and the other will cost you much pain later.
If you look around in your life right now, you have everything you ever wanted, whether it be voluntary or involuntary. If you are at a dead-end job, it’s because that’s what you wanted. If you are broke, it’s because that’s what you wanted. If you have a horrible girlfriend or wife, it’s because… that’s what you wanted.
If every voluntary or involuntary “want” comes with the price of pain whether it be now or later, then you must begin asking yourself these questions moving forward….
Is the pain that comes with this thing that I say that I want justified by the reward? (As in, is the pain of working out justified by the reward of having a good body? Is the pain of not smoking justified by the reward of a longer life?)
Am I willing to pay the price of pain for this thing that I say that I want?
Is the reward of getting this thing that I want worth all the pain along the way?
If your answer is no to these questions, then you don’t really WANT the thing, you just kind of don’t mind having it. If your answer is yes to these questions, then it is something that you TRULY want and you must go after that thing with everything you got.
A TRUE “want” can never be owned and requires a down payment of pain every day. If you want to be a champion, it will cost you in pain… every day. If you want to be a good husband, it will cost you in pain… every day. If you want to look like a sex god, that too, requires a payment in pain…every day. A Self-Made Man must make sure he is wanting the RIGHT things and making his payments of pain NOW rather than later. Wanting to fuck 100 women a year is not wanting the right thing. Wanting to be with a woman that help, expand, and reflect you is. One “want” will cost you the pain of unwanted pregnancies and/or disease and the other “want” will cost you the pain of having to become a man worthy enough to maintain a woman of value.
Happy Easter and Happy Hunting.
