The Fantasy Man

Happy holidays. It’s interesting that holidays happen year-round but we only say “Happy Holidays” in November and December. Anyways, I know this time of year can be depressing for some and I want you to know that I’m always here to talk if you need to. Sometimes talking to a stranger is more fulfilling than talking to the people you know. And with that said…

Let’s Get 2 Work!

I would like to tell you a story about a woman named Sophia.

As a young child, Sophia’s father failed to meet her needs, as much as he tried, she could never be pleased,

Because of this, Sophia created… “The Fantasy Man”, who meant everything to her and meeting him, one day, was her ultimate plan,

He is her fate,

From her favorite songs, movies, and books, The Fantasy Man is shaped,

From a child to an adult, every day, he followed her around in her mind, and on every date with every man, as she sips her wine, she silently hopes, that it is him, that she finds,

In bed, when she lays, she imagines that he listens to her, holds her, and excitingly asks her about her day, so, if any man shows her anything other than this projection, anything other than pure perfection, then that man, is not her man, and he better be on his way,

She won’t settle, so, she wishes men the best, and moves on to the next, but, at last, one day, she is finally blessed,

She found a worthy man and quickly moved from girlfriend to fiancé to wife, but, with every argument and disagreement, she tells herself, “You know what, I’m not happy, he doesn’t understand me, he just…isn’t right”,

She decided to leave her husband. She left because she knew her person was still out there, waiting to give her perfect love and care, waiting to give her the perfect life they both could share,

So, she plans, and she waits, she waits, and she plans,

for the day, that she finally meets…her Fantasy Man.
