Let me completely honest, as much as I talk shit about women, if all the women disappeared today, there’s a lot of things I would stop doing. Most definitely, washing my ass everyday would be the first thing to go. With that said…
Let’s get 2 work.
I could sit here and say that my motivation is rooted in God, or family, or legacy, but I would be lying my ass off. My motivation comes from the simple fact that I want to be as valuable as I can to… women, specifically, my future woman. I work hard so that our union will have purpose and she will have a space to be useful in. Now, I can already hear the outrage and confusion, just hang tight.
Motivation and REASON are two different things.
Although women are my motivation, they are not WHY I work hard day in and day out.
If you’ve made a New Year’s resolution or ever had a weight loss goal then you know, just like I do, that motivation comes and goes. More important than having motivation is knowing your WHY.
If I focused only on motivation, I would be the most inconsistent person you knew. Children cannot be your why, revenge cannot be your why, women and money cannot be your why. Your why, your reason as to why you do what you do, must come from… within.
Like I said, women do motivate me. But my WHY is making future Walt proud by never quitting, never breaking stride, and never relenting to my fears. My why is honoring my God through creation and expansion. My why is pouring into men with the hopes that they can avoid some of the bullshit I’ve endured.
What is it that will keep you going when the results are slim to none, when fake problems leave and real problems arrive, or when you just don’t feel like it? Answer that and you have found your why.
All of us men inherently share the same motivation, women, but we all have different reasons as to why we want to succeed. Instead of looking for the answers outside of yourself, begin looking to the God WITHIN.
Because finding your why… is an inside job.
