The way things are today, I completely understand when men ask…why?
In the year 2024, we are taken for granted, mocked, and paraded around on social media as pets for the opposite sex. We are told that our only prize for being producers, providers, and protectors, are feminists who believe they deserve it all simply because they exist. We have been banished to garages masked as “Man Caves” in houses that we pay for. After investing money, energy, attention, and time into our wives we are told we are not “entitled” to sex while still being expected to remain faithful. On top of all this, it has been declared again and again that nobody needs us. So, again, I hear you when you question…why?
Why slay dragons? Why sacrifice? Why willingly take a slow death for someone who would fuck you over the minute you fell on your ass? Why grind, why try…why?!
Some might say a man’s reason or “why” should be his legacy…FUCK your legacy.
Others might say your “why” should be your kids…FUCK them kids.
Your reason to slay those dragons, to sacrifice, to get back up again for the fifty-eleventh time, your one and only “why” … must be…
PRIDE.
Self-Pride.
The word pride means a feeling of DEEP pleasure or satisfaction derived from one’s OWN achievements. A high opinion of one’s OWN DIGNITY, IMPORTANCE, MERIT, or SUPERIORITY. A sense of one’s OWN value; SELF-RESPECT.
Coincidentally for us men, pride and love are one and the same. Witness a man who is proud of his woman, and also witness a man who loves his woman. See a man who is proud of himself, and you will also see a man who loves himself. At the root of a man’s pride is love and as the cliche saying goes, “Love conquers all.”
