“Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.”
MIKE TYSON
Let’s Go 2 Work.
I recently finished watching a survival series called “Alone.” It’s about ten contestants who do their best to separately survive nature’s harshest conditions…alone. The last person standing wins $500,000. What I find interesting is at the beginning of the show, everybody talks cash-money shit. Everyone is an expert and about that life… until. The minute most of them get hungry, or become tired, or start missing their families, all that bravado goes right out the fucking window.
I bring this up to simply ask you…who are you when things go to shit? It’s easy to say that you're this or you’re that with a full stomach and everything going your way. But when you get punched in the face, who are you?
Have you ever been around people when they’re really hungry, or extremely tired but they can’t go home? Have you been around people when they’re about to get evicted, recently wrecked their car, or just lost their job? Do you notice how in each of these situations they tend to act low vibrational? This is because when things get real, who we are will always come to the surface.
Moving forward, when things go wrong, I want you to see it as an opportunity to develop a strong chin. The next time life starts “lifing” I want you to say…GOOD.
Can’t find your keys…GOOD. Gotta pay for something else after just paying for something else…GOOD. Just found out your girl been cheating on you even though you been faithful…GOOD. Been grinding nonstop and still no results…GOOD.
Why am I telling you to say “good” when things are clearly not? Because telling yourself something is good even though it’s bad keeps you FIGHTING in the ring. Be the type of MAN that says GOOD when he gets punched in the face. And while everyone else cries and complains about how much it hurts, be the type of MAN that punches back!
“You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!” (ROCKY BALBOA)
GOOD.
